Background
Gåsöga designed by Barolo / Mårtensson is a modern version of the typical classic Swedish pattern gåsöga. A pattern that you can find all over Sweden in different shapes and variations. Our contribution extends it further. “We wanted to bring it into our time by creating a pattern that gives a nod to the past with a contemporary spirit. The pattern is simple, but has a complexity that has challenged even Klässbols' extensive knowledge of the jacquard techniques,” said Margot Barolo & Ulrika Mårtensson.

Feel free to combine Gåsöga Linen Napkins with any of our linen products to maximize your experience. The pattern is random, therefore each product is unique. The fabric is 100% woven linen.

Dimensions: 35 cm wide and 200 cm long
All stated sizes refer to unwashed fabrics. Expect approximately 5-7% shrinkage in both length and width associated with the first wash.
Follow the washing instructions.

About Klassbols Linnevaveri
The town of Klässbol is located in the Arvika municipality. This place is best known for the Klässbols linen weaving mill. This is where, among other things, the tablecloths that are used during the Nobel dinner, after the Nobel Prize ceremonies, are made.
Klässbols linen weaving mill is a supplier to the royal court and many Swedish embassies abroad also have linen from Klässbol. The weaving mill was founded in 1928 by Hjalmar Johansson and is now run by the fourth generation of Johanssons.
